The 27th Annual Parkinson’s Unity Walk Raised Over $611,000 - Introducing The Top 20 Teams!
Kingston, N.J., June 21, 2021 - The Parkinson Alliance is pleased to announce that the 27th Virtual Parkinson’s Unity Walk held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, raised over $611,000. These funds support critical research, including the development of new therapies and the search for a cure. One hundred percent of donations raised fund research supported by four major U.S. Parkinson’s disease organizations.
We would like to extend a heartfelt ‘THANK YOU!’ to everyone who participated in the 2021 Virtual Parkinson’s Unity Walk, and our sincerest gratitude to this year’s Top 20 Teams, who together raised an incredible $325,290! Their commitment to raising funds in support of research made a true and lasting impact. Their shared fundraising success was an incredible accomplishment during our second virtual walk and in light of the pandemic.
The 2021 Top 20 Teams are: Strikeclubs, Papa's Rockin' NJ Walkers, Team Amneal, Team Alex, Team Big Daddy Kane, Brooklyn Parkinson Group and Friends, Miles for Mitch, NYIT Smither’s Center x Friedberg JCC, Ginnie’s Gang, Celebrating Bruce, Montana Don/Marylin Leslie’s Team, Ping Pong Parkinson’s Pleasantville (4P), drowning PD, Team Kathy, Larry’s Legion, Alan’s Angels/Rock Steady Boxing Central Jersey, Team Brownscheidle, Meg’s Muppets, Big AG, and Sabela and The Hotsteppers.
