Over $1.5 Million in Donations Raised by the 2018 Parkinson's Unity Walk Now Funding Research

KINGSTON, N.J. (December 10, 2018) -- The 2018 Parkinson’s Unity Walk raised over $1.5 million, and we are proud to announce that every single donation has been distributed to five leading U.S. Parkinson’s disease foundations to fund research that will help move us closer to a cure. The five foundations and recipients of the 2018 Unity Walk funds are the: American Parkinson Disease Association, Parkinson's Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, The Parkinson Alliance, and The Parkinson's Institute and Clinical Center.

This year’s research projects include the following studies:

On our research page, we have posted summaries of all research grants, as well as updates to studies funded in previous years.

Only with the help of our supporters is funding Parkinson’s disease research possible. Since the inception of the Unity Walk, we have funded hundreds of studies and have raised a combined total of over $25 million in donations. Our teams, walkers, volunteers, donors, and sponsors enable us to fund critical research into Parkinson's disease, research we hope will one day find a cure. We will keep working until a cure is found and look forward to walking together with our supporters at the 25th Parkinson’s Unity Walk on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
