About the PUW > David Anekstein
David has over 35 years of media, marketing and research experience at leading advertising agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather and media brands such as Fortune and The New Yorker. Motivated by his father’s struggle with PD, he sought out the Unity Walk’s founder Margot Zobel, after participating in the 1995 event. David has assisted the Unity Walk in a variety of roles, including serving as Secretary for five years. He continues to staff the Information booth each year, and is heartened by the impact the Unity Walk continues to have in helping fuel innovative research programs and instilling a sense of hope throughout the PD community.
