Chili's Give Back Night
April 11, 2013 – My grandfather, Lin Tolson was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and his condition has deteriorated quickly. He recently was admitted to the hospital as his Parkinson’s had worsened. He had a bad fall and hurt his head.
I work at Chili’s in White Marsh (Baltimore), MD. They have been so supportive and agreed to do a Give Back Night on April 11th in honor of my grandfather and extended it to another Chili’s Restaurants in Bel Air, MD as well. The evening was amazing! My managers were so proud of me and the business I brought in on a Thursday night. We were packed and I had a 45 minute to an hour wait just for my section. Pretty neat! The White Marsh location made $2,500 in donations for the Parkinson's Unity Walk. I’m still waiting to hear back from the Bel Air location but I heard they made $1,250 in donations. I made $260 in tips that night and that is also being donated to the Unity Walk.
I am excited to be walking in the Unity Walk and know that my grandfather is proud of our efforts to find a cure for this disease.
