20th Parkinson’s Unity Walk Will be Held on Saturday, April 26, 2014

(December 2, 2013) – The 20th Parkinson’s Unity Walk will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in New York City’s Central Park.
The Unity Walk continues to be the largest grassroots fundraiser for Parkinson’s disease (PD) research in the country. It is a day for the Parkinson’s community to join together to raise funds for research as well as awareness of Parkinson’s disease. It is a day of education, when people living with PD and their families learn about new therapies and available resources from our sponsors and representatives from the participating Parkinson’s foundations. It is a day of hope and inspiration, resulting from the determination and commitment created when over 10,000 participants gather, all committed to finding a cure for this disease.

In 2013, over $1.7M was raised for research. It is the generosity of our sponsors that allows 100% of these donations to fund research. Proceeds from the Walk are shared among seven major Parkinson’s disease foundations – American Parkinson Disease Association, National Parkinson Foundation, Parkinson’s Action Network, Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, The Parkinson Alliance, and The Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center.

Fundraising on behalf of the Unity Walk occurs all year round. Registration is open for the 2014 Unity Walk or click here to make a donation.
