2012 Unity Walk Raises Over $1.8M for Parkinsonís Research
(June 13, 2013) Thanks to each and every supporter of the Unity Walk, the 2012 Walk surpassed all previous fundraising records. $1.8M was raised for Parkinson’s research. This is $300K more than was raised at last year’s Walk! We are inspired by the commitment and generosity of our participants, fundraisers and donors. One of the unique aspects of the Walk is how it unites the Parkinson’s community and allows us to all work together towards one common goal – funding research that will improve the quality of life of people living with Parkinson’s disease and take us one step closer to finding a cure.
There is strength in numbers and our teams were going strong this year! Over 530 teams were registered for the 2012 Walk, a 10% increase in the number of teams from 2011. While we thank all of our supporters, we want to extend a special thank you to our top fundraising teams. Click here to view the top 50 teams for 2012.
We gather for one day in Central Park but the research you fund continues all year long. Thank you for making every step count.
