Whatís New for 2012!
Join us for a 1.4 mile Walk route. Slightly longer than last year’s Walk but shorter than in previous years, we think this route is just right.
- Food trucks - No need to leave the Park for lunch! With the Unity Walk starting at 10:00am, we want to make sure you have the option of eating in between your visits to the informational booths along “Margot Zobel Way.” This year, four food trucks will be selling moderately priced food items throughout the day. Click on the logos below to view their menus.
- Coffee - Chock Full o’ Nuts is generously donating coffee to all Walk participants and will be serving from their trucks in three locations – at the Bandshell, Registration and further down “Margot Zobel Way.”
- Snacks and water - The Unity Walk will continue to serve complimentary snacks and bottled water at the Refreshments Booth. Bottled water will also be available at the Water Station by the Bandshell.
The Unity Walk has arranged for hotel rooms at reduced rates at a number of hotels in Manhattan and one in Jersey City. The deadlines are March 28th and April 5th depending on the hotel so make your plans soon!
Team Photo Booth
Stop by the Team Photo Booth by the Bandshell and receive a printed copy of your photo to take home with you. You can also download a digital copy of the photo from the vendor’s website and forward it to your team members and supporters.
Community Calendar and Stars in Action
If you are planning a fundraiser – regardless of the size or how much money you plan to raise – share your ideas with other participants and let us hear from you. Click here to post your event on our calendar and email email@example.com to submit your event for posting on our "Stars in Action" page along with photos from your event.
Connect with other team captains
When you create a team, you now have the ability to “opt in” and connect with other team captains. Share fundraising ideas, meet another Walk participant from your area and/or enjoy some friendly competition.
Donations need to be received by May 28, 2012 to be credited to the 2012 Walk. Any donations received after that date will be credited to the 2013 Walk.
