Welcome Our New Event Director, Helaine Isaacs

We are pleased to welcome Helaine Isaacs to the Parkinson’s Unity Walk (PUW) as Event Director effective December 7, 2009.

Helaine’s background is in volunteer management, corporate human resources and social work. She served as Volunteer Manager at Princeton Hospice enhancing the experience of volunteers and partnering with them to achieve the needs of the organization. Helaine brings extensive experience in establishing corporate relationships in support of the organizations she has been involved with. She has demonstrated strong organizational skills in planning events throughout her career. This has included the planning of training and orientation programs, adult education and cultural programs, weekend retreats and company outings. She also created and planned a successful community wide annual summer opportunity fair for teens that required her to reach out to multiple vendors and collaborate with counselors at area public and private schools. Helaine’s ability to build strong lasting relationships and her appreciation of the contribution made by volunteers are just a few of the qualities that Helaine will bring to her role as Event Director.

Helaine was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived and worked in Manhattan for many years before moving to the Princeton area. She currently resides in Montgomery Township with her husband, an attorney in Princeton and her two teenage sons.

Helaine has been an active volunteer herself in the community and is passionate about utilizing her skills for an organization whose work makes a difference in the lives of others. She is looking forward to working with our volunteers, donors/teams, corporate sponsors and all those involved with the Unity Walk.
