3rd Annual Central Valley Parkinson's Walk in Visalia, CA

Our Central Valley Parkinson's Walk in Visalia, CA, was just GREAT!  School bands, an Irish band, and Damien Carter (a professional singer from the San Francisco Bay area) provided lively entertainment.  Michael Lewis from Screen Radio provided our terrific sound system.  It was all just great!  Johnny Batista made a great Emcee.  Donuts, coffee, cookies, & juice added to the camaraderie.  So did the balloons and banners!  There were well over 100 people there throughout the morning.
Glen Wells was our Honorary Chairman.  He has Parkinson's, and lost his beautiful caregiver - his wife - to a rare disease.  Still, he continues to be as energetic and supportive as his PD will allow.
Our Blain Park is a miniature Central Park!  It has tree-shaded paved paths, a playground, an exercise course for handicapped persons, bathroom facilities, arbors with electricity...  and you know who got us started?  Donna Kos!  Thank you, Donna!
Ellen Jablonski and her friend came from the Greater Fresno PSG to support us!  The weather was gorgeous!  People brought lawn chairs, dogs on leashes, walkers, canes, and strollers.  All of us who participated were excited because we were actually having fun as we worked on the Walk!
