A Walk-a-thon in Susanville, California
Donna Kos is a woman with a mission. She organized the first Parkinson's Walk-a-thon on June 7th along Main Street in Susanville, California. Donna worked hard and solicited support from 10 major sponsors and 35 other sponsors all from the grassroots level. Her motivation is simple--doing something in memory of her father, Edward, who lost his battle with Parkinson's disease in 1996. "Thanks to local businesses who made contributions in exchange for their logo on the t-shirts, we raised over $4000.00 for the 2004 Parkinson's Unity Walk," stated Donna. "Their support meant a lot to the cause and the Susanville community."
