Margot Zobel, the Founder and Director of the Parkinson's Unity Walk will share Parkinson's related news and insights on a periodic basis.

June 2004

Maybe it’s spring fever, or post-Walk syndrome, or overexposure to TV news. Maybe it’s symptoms of PD, or just plain laziness. Whatever it is, I’m having a hard time concentrating and tackling the chores on my “to do” list, which only seems to grow longer no matter how much I work on it.

So I’ve decided to put the old list aside and make a new list. Here it is:

1. Practice laughing - it’s good for your spirit as well as your facial muscles.

2. Spend some time remembering the joyful moments of your life. Look at photographs.

3. Make a list of friends you’ve been out of touch with for a while. Call at least one of them each day, and if possible, make plans to get together.

4. Listen to some of your favorite music.

5. Get a manicure/pedicure.

6. Exercise!

I’m hoping that after a week or so on this new regimen I’ll be able to confront my old list with renewed energy.

Wish me luck.
