In Memoriam

We were deeply saddened by the recent death of Mary Manfredi, a long-time friend and supporter of the Unity Walk. Mary participated in every Walk, starting with the first one in 1994. We will miss her this year.

Mary was a spirited octogenarian who lived her life to the fullest. When she acquired a computer, she plunged right in and learned to surf the Internet. scouring messages for news and tips about Parkinson's. She collected these for publication in "Mary's Mailbag," which appeared in the newsletter of the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

But it was not all work for Mary–- every weekend she took off and went sailing!

Although I never had a chance to tell her, Mary Manfredi was an inspiration to me.
