Margot Zobel, the Founder and Director of the Parkinson's Unity Walk will share Parkinson's related news and insights on a periodic basis.
April 2006
“Unity” is an important part of our name. In the beginning, back in 1994, it was meant as a gentle message to the national Parkinson’s organizations to work more closely with each other. In the intervening years, the organizations have been doing just that. We believe that our walk has played a small part in bringing them together.
The concept of unity has continued to play an important part in our work. As people with Parkinson’s from all over the country learned about the walk and participated in it, they merged into a unified community, bound by the determination to conquer Parkinson’s disease. The strength we have gained from that unity is what enabled us to raise one million dollars for research last year. It will help us top that amount this year, and every year, until a cure is found.
We’re counting on you to help us meet our goal. See you on April 29th.
Love,
Margot
