Margot Zobel, the Founder and Director of the Parkinson's Unity Walk will share Parkinson's related news and insights on a periodic basis.
In mid-August, Margot Zobel fell and fractured her hip. We are happy to report that Margot Zobel is doing better.
October 2005
Here's the news from Margot-land: I'm home! After more than a month in hospital and rehab center, home has never looked better. My fractured hip is getting used to the metal pins and plate that are holding it together, and on a good day I can put on both my shoes by myself. Continuing therapy will enable me to accomplish this feat every day.
Doctors and therapists tell me that I'm healing nicely. If so, much of the credit belongs to you, the hundreds of friends who sent me get-well cards and wishes, who called me on the phone, who kept me in their thoughts and prayers. Friends I've known for years, and friends I didn't know I had. To all of you, THANK YOU. You can't imagine what a difference you made in my recovery.
And as always, special thanks to Carol Walton and Trina Stokes, the heart and soul of the Unity Walk.
